The Story So Far

Phoebe was born in June 2004 in London, England. Her Giant Congenital Melanocytic Nevus covered both eyes, most of her forehead and the tops of both cheeks. Added to this she had 88 satellites and now has acquired many more. Phoebe had curretage at 7 days old, serial excision of the outer edges of her facial nevus (at 1 yr old), and a new left eye lid created (using skin behind her ear) at 14 months old. She is our precious baby girl. At 20 months old she has a personality to beat most adults and has legs you just want to nibble!
We are about to commence tissue expansion to remove as much of the facial nevus as we can. I am not going into all the reasons why we are doing this here (on this site) as they are too many, too complicated, too emotional and too personal.
